Since its founding, Chanen has been involved with its communities through the support of many organizations, donations, or the service work of its employees. A few of these organizations that have been recent recipients of Chanen’s aid include those listed to the left.

Midwestern University consists of the following colleges: the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, the Chicago College of Pharmacy, the College of Health Sciences-IL, the College of Dental Medicine-Illinois, the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, the College of Pharmacy–Glendale, the College of Health Sciences-AZ, the College of Dental Medicine-Arizona, the Arizona College of Optometry and the College of Veterinary Medicine. Their history, which has been guided by a mission to provide the best in health education, tells the story of amazing accomplishment and professional leadership.
The two Midwestern University campuses each afford unlimited opportunities by their proximity to large metropolitan areas. The Downers Grove, Illinois, campus — 105 acres boasting innovative facilities — is nestled serenely in a wooded setting 25 miles west of downtown Chicago. The Glendale, Arizona, campus — a 140-acre location that includes state-of-the-art facilities in a peaceful setting — is just 15 miles northwest of downtown Phoenix.
