Mercantile Residence
Inn

Project
Highlights

The Mercantile is a five-story, multi-use development in the heart of historic downtown Missoula. DAC was hired to lead GC/CM on the project, which is anchored by a 178-room custom-designed Residence Inn by Marriot. The ground floor is multipurpose, with half of its square footage devoted to retail and restaurant use, and the other half serving as the hotel’s common area — including lobby, meeting space, and pool. The second through fifth floors are made up of guest rooms, as well as a gym and an amenity deck. The structure was built entirely new — except for the outside pharmacy building’s historic brick exterior, which was preserved and incorporated into the design.
